My 5-year-old Pekingese mix, Belle, has fluid in one of her ears, causing her to shake her head and scratch at it frequently. She has a cataract in the eye next to the affected ear and has had ear issues since I adopted her 3 years ago. I'm currently using Zymox otic enzymatic solution, which provides some comfort, but there's no odor, so I don't think it's an ear infection. Should I flush her ear, and is there anything else I should be aware of or do for her ear condition?
