My beagle, Doug, strained his back after missing a jump over a baby gate two days ago. He is in pain, trembling, and panting. I need to know what, if anything, I can give him for pain and to help with the inflamed back disk without taking him to the vet.

I thought she had worms and gave her wormer, but now I'm concerned because my cat, who I thought was pregnant, just died. My dog's belly looks similar to how my cat's did before she died. My dog, Cocoa, a 5-year-old beagle mix weighing approximately 30lbs, ingested about 1oz of medicated body powder containing menthol and zinc oxide 20 minutes ago. She seems fine, but I gave her a 10mg Pepcid pill and placed her in her cage. She hasn't vomited or taken a drink yet. What should I do, and what symptoms should I watch for?
