My 55 lb dog, Caldwell, ate a hand-knitted sock (about 12 inches long) last night. I gave him baking soda in water to induce vomiting, but it didn't work. He has a history of eating socks and throwing them up within a day or two, but this time, I'm concerned that the yarn may wrap around his intestines.
