He has been experiencing loose to mostly watery stools since Saturday, despite being given Pepto-Bismol yesterday which temporarily hardened his stool. The fecal test was negative for coccidia. What could be causing the diarrhea and what can be done to treat it?

Hello. We just were prescribed Carprofen for our dog (40 lbs). The dosage was half a tablet (25 g). The way the label was printed, it looked like 1 and 1/2, so I just gave her 3x the dose. She threw up and is now resting. I was just reading about possible organ damage. Should I take her to the emergency vet?

My husband, who suffers from dementia, informed me that our lab ate a block of Tomcat mouse poison about four days ago. I have seen no symptoms of poisoning in her. Is she likely to have suffered no ill effects or should I still be worried?
