Took my dog to the vet yesterday. An X-ray found nothing, and the vet prescribed Metronidazole and Sucralfate. My dog refuses to take these medications, drinks water and throws it up, and has not eaten in two days. She won't touch chicken and rice. What should I do?

My dog got a dexamethasone 4mg shot on Tuesday 2/11 for his hips, and it seemed to help a little. However, on Thursday 2/13, he started vomiting hours after eating, even though he acts hungry and eats his food fine. Is this a side effect of the shot, and would it take 2 days to affect him this way?
