My dog, Buddy, a 13-year-old cocker/cavalier mix, has a sore on her face that hasn't healed for a couple of months. It was initially thought to be a skin tag from grooming, but it hasn't healed and is bloody with lots of dried blood around it. There is no swelling, and Buddy has some hip issues. She rubs her face on the ground, possibly irritating the sore. What could be the issue, and what should I do?

My 15lb multipoo, Archie, ate half a chocolate chip cookie with an unknown amount of chocolate chips around 1800 this evening. He has shown no signs of illness yet, is resting, and drinking water as usual. He is 7 years old, healthy, and takes omperzole 10mg for GERD. Should I be concerned about the chocolate, and what should I monitor for?
