My dog, Buddy, an 8-year-old Yorkie, ate some corn chips and possibly other junk food. On Sunday night, he had bright red blood in his stool. I took him to the ER, but left due to a long wait. He had diarrhea yesterday but today his stool is normal. Should he be seen by a vet if his stool is improving?

My dog had an acute spinal injury with unknown cause, resulting in paralysis of the back legs. He has shown some improvement with physical therapy, acupuncture, and laser therapy, but I'm concerned about whether he will regain full sensation and mobility in his legs. Should I consider surgery, and if so, when? Also, how long does it typically take for nerves to regenerate and for my dog to start feeling his toes again?

My 17-year-old dog had dementia and was experiencing severe health issues, including not eating, drinking, or producing urine. Despite multiple treatments and hospitalizations, she collapsed and was diagnosed with a poor prognosis. I regret not trying harder to save her and wonder if she could have been saved. Could her pacing and eventual collapse have been due to kidney failure or dehydration? Should I have taken her to the hospital sooner?

My Shih Tzu gets 'sore' and won't go to the bathroom after going to the groomer. He has been biting at his hind end and hasn't had a bowel movement in two days. I thought it might be due to having his anal glands cleaned, but even after asking the groomer not to do this, the issue persists. He just had a clean bill of health at the vet and is usually a happy dog, but this seems to happen every time he is groomed. Do you have any insights?
