My dog, Burt, is biting at his back legs, pulling out his hair, itching a lot at his stomach, and has been not eating a lot. He seems to be in pain at times. This behavior started after we came home from a beach vacation where he would lay in the sand. What could be causing this and what can I do to help him?

Can you give a dog Pepto-Bismol for an upset stomach and vomiting? The vomit is mostly liquid with a small amount of food. The dog's name is Cowlee, and she is 9 years old. She recently had a few accidents and was at church. Should I use Pro-Pectalin instead or wait the 24 hours before feeding her?

My dog, Brutus, has a scratch that appears to be getting infected. There is slight swelling but no bleeding, and the scratch occurred two days ago. What can I do to treat the infection without taking him to the vet?

My 5-month-old dog, Hammie, stopped eating around 3pm yesterday and has been vomiting mixed with diarrhea since last night. He hasn't drunk water and has been lethargic since Sunday evening. He is partially vaccinated and may have eaten something unusual. Should I take him to the emergency room before his vet appointment tomorrow?

My dog ate some decon for mice. It was a small amount and my 20 lbs dog ate a couple of crumbs about 15 minutes ago. The dog has not thrown up or shown any signs yet. What should I do?

I accidentally poked my dog's eye with my fingernail about an hour ago. He didn't yelp, but now his eye looks agitated with some discharge. Should I flush his eye with saline, and if it worsens, should I take him to the vet in the morning?
