My dog, Rosie, chewed on a couple of roach combat traps and has been vomiting a couple of times. She's been sleeping more than usual for a couple of weeks, especially in the past few days. He wasn't this way yesterday morning but became very lethargic, drooling, and couldn't balance himself when I arrived home. He was having diarrhea yesterday morning and had a foul odor. What could be causing these symptoms and what should I do?

Our dog, a Boston Terrier mix (25.5 lbs), ingested some mascara and later showed small bruising. Her platelet count dropped from 152,000 to 38,000. The vet suggests steroids, an X-ray, and a Coag Test. We want to know if the mascara ingestion could have caused the platelet drop and if she really needs the strong steroids or if we should let her body naturally boost her platelet count.
