My dog, Chet, is being euthanized tomorrow due to aspergillosis. He has been on multiple medications and recently experienced a vestibular event, making him disoriented and unable to get up. He had gabapentin about 2 hours ago. Can I give him Benadryl to keep him comfortable overnight, and if so, what dosage should I use? Additionally, are there any other suggestions to help manage his vestibular symptoms?

Our dog, Lucas, was bitten by a spider several times. We've treated it with hydrocortisone, Benadryl cream, and now a Benadryl tablet. It's been several days since the initial bite, and his ear has become inflamed. He seems lethargic (possibly from the Benadryl), but his appetite is OK, he's drinking water, and going to the bathroom. What could be the issue, and what should we do next?
