My dog, Annabelle, a 7 1/2-year-old, 4.5-pound dog, has diarrhea, is not eating, and seems lethargic. She had a similar issue before when my niece fed her something that upset her stomach. She is up to date on all her shots and is otherwise healthy. What can I do to help her until I can get her to a vet?

My 12-year-old male dog, Loki, started dry heaving tonight around 6 PM. He has been fine all day and had a vet appointment earlier today. He tried a small amount of goat milk for the first time, about a tablespoon or two, and later chewed on a plush toy but did not swallow any stuffing. He is not coughing and his breathing is stable, but he seems uncomfortable. What could be causing this and what should I do?
