My dog, Goofy, was given doxycycline and famotidine. Can I give them both pills at the same time, or should I wait? He was also given sucralfate suspension, which Iā€™m supposed to give one hour before or after the two medications I mentioned. Is there any interaction or precaution I should be aware of?

I have a rescue dog named Sky who tested positive for heartworm, but the larvae were not found in his blood and he doesn't exhibit any symptoms. He is about 2 years old and is on Doxycycline and Heartgard Plus for preventive heartworm larvae. My vet wants to do an aggressive treatment to kill the heartworms, which would require Sky to be still for 60 days. Could we let the mature worms die on their own, or is it necessary to take the aggressive route my vet is suggesting?
