My dachshund has a walnut-sized bump on her snout, about half an inch above her nose. It appears to have pus and blood inside. I have cleaned it gently with hydrogen peroxide and applied Neosporin antibiotic ointment. It seems to have gone down slightly, but I'm unsure if I'm doing the right thing.

My 14-year-old Chow mix dog, Kenta, has been experiencing gradual hearing loss, difficulty sitting, and reduced walking ability. Recently, he has developed episodes of propulsive circling, uncoordinated movement, and a 'drunken' gait with head tilting and nystagmus after taking Rimadyl for arthritis. I want to become a veterinarian and I am currently at 79 credits within my BS. I must still go to graduate school after my bachelors. I currently live in Hawaii where there is no vet colleges. Please give me some tips on how to make the correct choices in the schools I go to. Also, I was told entry-level vets make about 70-100k per year and it goes up from there. It seems like a very lucrative career and beneficial in terms of passion. Please give me all your advice that you have ...what would have done differently if you look back on your college beginnings. Also how hard is it to get into an actual college in the main US ...I heard I must pay a third party and pray to be accepted.
