My small dog is shivering, his neck only moves to the left, and he yelps when I try to move it to the right. The right side of his neck is also swollen. What could be wrong and should I take him to the vet?

My 3-year-old Chihuahua, weighing 10 pounds, is showing symptoms of overheating, including panting and a bright red tongue, despite normal air temperature. I wrapped him in a cold towel, and he seemed more comfortable. He is clinging to me and has settled in my bed with a fan gently blowing on him. What could be causing this, and do you have any suggestions?

My 6-year-old male mini dachshund has been acting in pain for about 3 days. He suddenly yelped in pain when touched in the upper abdominal area, began shivering, and looked uncomfortable. He has been pacing, walking with an antalgic gait, and whimpering. His abdomen feels hard, and he has had no known trauma. He is eating normally and has normal bowel movements and urination. I am worried about potential causes like gall bladder issues, trauma, bloat, or intussusception. As long as he's eating and not vomiting or having diarrhea, is he not likely in imminent danger?

My 10-year-old golden retriever has a large splenic tumor suspected to be a hemiangioma. He also has arthritis of the spine and is currently on prednisone, joint supplements, and Onco-care. An ultrasound did not show any masses outside the spleen, and no biopsy was done due to the size and risk of bleeding. Should I consider surgery for the tumor, and what are the long-term effects of prednisone on dogs, including the risk of developing conditions like diabetes?
