I have a 9-year-old Afghan Hound with occasional blood drops from his penis, especially when the female is in season or during cold weather. I've taken him to multiple vets, including for artificial insemination, where blood was found in the semen. Recently, another vet diagnosed a prostate infection or UTI and prescribed antibiotics, but I have concerns about the dosage and the course of treatment. I also have an appointment with a reproduction specialist in 13 days. What should I do in the meantime, and what are your thoughts on the situation?
