My dog, Layla, a 5-year-old weighing 40-60 pounds, started vomiting clear brown liquid with pieces of corn husk she may have eaten. She was found laying in another area of the house, crying and scooting on her side. She is walking sideways and backwards, and was seen scooting backwards. What should I do?

My 12-year-old Shih Tzu named Rosie has congestive heart failure and is on Vetmedin and Furosemide. She has been experiencing heavy breathing and a distended stomach, along with a cough. The heavy breathing started again tonight, even though she was better after being prescribed the diuretic a couple of weeks ago. Should I increase the diuretic dosage, and is it safe to give an extra dose or half dose to relieve her symptoms until we can take her to the vet tomorrow?
