My dog, Lucy, a 6-year-old diabetic, has blood in her stool. She ate home-cooked chicken with carrots and string beans, but I ran out of string beans and added soy beans yesterday. She also had a beef jerky stick treat. She sometimes eats things outside and tends to swallow food in big pieces without chewing. What could be causing this and what should I do?

My dog was diagnosed with atypical Addison disease and prescribed 10mg of prednisone every 12 hours. She is 45 pounds. I'm concerned if 10 mg is too high for her weight and if it's normal to start with such a dose. She seems alert but tired, urinates more than usual, but not excessively. Is this dosage appropriate, and what should I expect during the tapering process?

Our 35-pound dog, Ace, takes Zonisamide 100 mg AM and PM for seizures. He accidentally ate one or possibly two additional capsules. Should I skip his evening dose and resume the normal schedule tomorrow morning?
