My 1.5-year-old Golden Doodle, Sadie, just started excessively licking the carpet after waking from a nap. She threw up her whole dinner and is now back to licking excessively. I have a litter of 6 neonatal puppies, two of which were bleeding slightly from their anus. All pups are doing well now but are not gaining weight at the expected rate of 10% per day. They are nursing vigorously, but the mother is having trouble eating and has been losing weight. I have been cooking her food, but she won't eat puppy food or canned food. What should I do to ensure the puppies' health and the mother's nutrition?
