My dog, Pugsley, a 4-year-old Chihuahua mix, has been licking his paws excessively for about 6 weeks. I've tried various remedies like wildflower local honey, coconut oil, medicinal dog shampoo, and hydrocortisone, but the behavior continues. The skin on his paws looks red and there are bare spots on his toes. What could be causing this and what can I do to help?

My dog recently had surgery for a disc rupture and now has superficial pain in both legs but responds with the panniculus and wags her tail. She doesn't have control of her bladder yet but shows signs of awareness when about to pee. What are the chances she will walk again and what is the next thing she may regain control over as she heals?

My French Bulldog, Buttercup, ate blood pressure medication (Losartan/HCT 100-25, generic for Hyzaar). She is about 22 lbs and it has been less than 5 minutes since she ate it. What should I do?

How many days after giving birth should a dog have a discharge? The pups are a week old, and the mother had Oxitosin. The discharge is black, and she is on amoxicillin. Should I be concerned, especially since her white count was high at delivery?

My dog Nala, a 14-month-old Staffy x Bullmastiff, has just finished her first heat cycle. Her nipples are swollen, not just the nipples but around them too. Could this be due to hormones, and if so, how long until the swelling goes away? Could she be pregnant, and if so, would it be showing this early? Nala is kept in a secure yard and pen at night, so I don't think she is likely to be pregnant.
