My dog, Raider, a 10-month-old mix breed, ate a shrimp yesterday around 3pm and has been experiencing diarrhea since around 11pm. He has shown no signs of vomiting and is bright and alert with a good appetite. However, his stool has become more watery today and there was a bit of mucus and a tiny bit of blood observed. What should I do to help him recover?

My 6-year-old, 65-pound Pit Bull ate a little less than a quarter of a vegan soap bar around 8pm. She ate a full meal immediately after and vomited lightly at 1am and the rest of her meal at 3am. She has no other symptoms and is sleeping soundly. Do I need to take her to the vet?
