My dog's back legs suddenly quit working this morning, and she couldn't get up for almost five minutes. She eventually stood and walked, acting normal afterward, eating, drinking, and going to the bathroom. She vomited twice after the incident. What could be the cause of her temporary leg weakness, and what should I do?

My dog had a stroke years ago and now drags himself around, causing an open sore on his right quarter. What can I do to prevent it from opening up and bleeding, especially since he has lost control of his bowels and sometimes urinates wherever he is?

My 9-pound Chihuahua started sneezing after a walk in the park where there was a lot of pollen. Along with sneezing, he gags more than usual. His nose is wet, and he has a good appetite. What can I give him for this condition?

My 7-year-old border collie/aussie mix had surgery to repair tendons and muscles in both legs after an accident. He was in hard casts for 6 weeks and is now in soft casts. He can't walk at all, his legs are like jello, and he refuses to let them touch the ground. Is this normal after coming out of casts, or is it more likely the internal repair didn't hold?

I have a 9.5-year-old female Alaskan Malamute weighing about 130 pounds, who has been about 15 pounds overweight since she was 5. She has difficulty going down 17 steps from the second floor, cries, and has a sudden fear of descending. She also has a drunken sailor gait, bunny hopping when trying to run, and muscle quivering in her hind legs and shoulders. She is currently on Rimadyl, chondroitin, glucosamine, and ester vitamin C. What could be causing these symptoms and what treatment options are available?
