My dog was bitten by another dog on his cheek. The wound is punctured, about half the size of a pen mark. He is eating and drinking fine. I have cleaned it daily with hydrogen peroxide, given him a bath with antibacterial soap, used medicated spray, and applied animal neosporin. We are out of town and can't easily visit a vet. What should I look for to determine if he needs to go to the vet, and what else can I do to ensure his comfort while healing?

My dog seems to be panting a lot. He is about 6 years old, not obese, and is a collie mix. Should I be concerned?

My vet wants to try another chemo on Monday to see if he can get the tumor to shrink. He has cloudy lymph nodes which they think means it has spread. They put a stent into his urethra so he can pee, which works well. He is passing blood before urination and clots the past week, possibly due to the stent or cancer, they're unsure. He is lethargic but eats and drinks water well. If I could have him a year, I would take it. What else can I feed him that might fight off and destroy cancer that has spread?

I have an 8-month-old Pug who pees in her crate/kennel every time I put her in it. I've tried using a small crate and removing all bedding, but she still does it. I also bought a larger wire kennel where she loves to play and doesn't pee until we leave her. How can I stop her from peeing in the crate?

Our English Bulldog, who just turned 3 in October, could not bark after being groomed while we were out of town. I gave him some Benedryl and put lemon juice in his water, and today he has been able to bark a little. He is not running a fever, is eating and drinking, and wants to play (though not as long as usual). Is there anything else I can do for him?
