My dog was started on Cipro and then switched to Albon within a 2-day period due to a chronic UTI. I have a six-year-old Havanese named Pickles. Recently, I have been dealing with a parasitic infection, and after 9 weeks, doctors are still unsure if I can pass it to my dog. One physician mentioned a small bacterial infection in my blood, which is safe for Pickles. However, the parasite issue is still uncertain, with only one infectious disease doctor suggesting it might be a type unknown to attack humans.
