My elderly pug, Rocky, is at the end of his life and has been experiencing severe coughing/hacking/gasping, which has worsened after he got up from sleeping. He has a collapsing trachea and chronic lung issues, and we are planning to euthanize him soon. I have children's Mucinex cough suppressant/expectorant and would like to know if I can give it to him for relief, and if so, how much. He weighs about 25 lbs.

My dog has been diagnosed with an enlarged heart and stage 3 heart disease. He has been prescribed benazepril and Pimobendan. Can these be taken together? Should they be given separately, and if so, which one is more helpful to give first? Are there any negative side effects to watch for? Also, for a 40lb dog, is a dosage of 5mg of benazepril and 10mg of Pimobendan once daily appropriate?

I just got a puppy named Toby, a toy poodle, from a guy on the side of the road. Today, I noticed he has worms and warm poop. I'm trying to get him to a vet today, but it's Sunday and I haven't had any luck so far. What should I do?

My 14 lb, 12-year-old cockapoo named Darcy was found chewing on a geranium plant. I'm unsure if she swallowed any of it. Darcy is also recovering from a dislocated hip due to an encounter with a large neighbor's dog. What should I know about the potential effects of geranium on her and any additional steps I should take?

A 4-year-old Chihuahua named Floppy has started coughing every 3 or 4 minutes, spitting up clear saliva. He was fine earlier in the day and is currently eating hard food. What could be causing the coughing and what can be done to help him?
