My family dog Madison had a rabies booster shot on 9/27/2012. Now she is itching all night long. Our vet has tried various treatments including Cephalexin for an ear infection, a kangaroo diet, Depo Medro injection, Prednisone tablets, a diet of hamburger/potatoes/carrots, and Convenia for itching, but none of these treatments are working. She is a 7-year-old blonde cocker spaniel and has lost 3 lbs due to her diet. What could be causing her itching and what can we do to help her?

My Mini Pinscher jumped off the bed and is not putting weight on her front left paw. She won't let me touch it, and it doesn't look swollen. I've given her a half tablet of 81 mg coated aspirin. How long should I wait to see if it's just a sprain, or how do I know if it's broken?

My small bichon cross suddenly stopped walking, has her head thrown back, and is lethargic. The vet diagnosed a stroke and sent me home to wait for her to die. She is now responding to my calls but won't get up and walk. She can lap water but has vomited a dark clear liquid. Do you think this is a stroke?

I rescued a dog from a pet rescue in Tennessee and got him last Monday. He had a checkup on Friday which went well, but since Saturday, he has developed a gagging cough. I suspect it's kennel cough and contacted the rescue. They suggested using Robitussin DM or Benadryl to treat it, but I'm unsure if that's safe. What should I do for my dog, who is a year and 9 months old black lab/retriever mix?
