My girlfriend's Labrador, Stanley, has red skin on his front right paw (not on the paw pads), a slight limp, and often licks it. She tried putting ointment on the paw and wrapping a handkerchief but he would remove it. What should we do?

Stanley likely has a condition called pododermatitis, which is inflammation of the skin of the feet....

My 13-year-old beagle basset mix, Ricky, has been having seizures for about a year. He was on Keppra, which helped for a while, but the seizures returned. My vet increased the dose of Keppra and added Zonisamide a week ago. However, Ricky is now having trouble getting up and the seizures are getting worse. Could this be due to side effects of the new medication?
