Our dog was recently diagnosed with multiple myeloma and started on Melphalan and prednisone. He has been doing well but has been receiving rotisserie chicken daily. Is there anything we can do for him at home?

Our Great Dane is nearly eleven years old and has become bowel incontinent over the last few months. He is unaware when it happens, and his stools are dry-ish and easy to collect. I have made no changes to his diet, and he is not overweight and in good health generally for his age. Someone mentioned steroids that can help with this problem. What could be the cause, and would steroids be a viable treatment option?
