My dog, Boo, has a sudden swelling in the neck from chin to chest, which started almost instantly after hearing a yelp. The swelling initially went down but has returned. The dog also has trouble with saliva drooling and sometimes gagging on it. What could be causing this and what should I do?

My dog, Ebi, a Labrador retriever, has a gash on her side that we think may be from trying to get out under a chain link fence. She has been lethargic, has no appetite, and has vomited about four times. We rinsed the gash with hydrogen peroxide two days ago. My son noticed a swollen area on her back, near the gash, which she flinches at when touched. She also has a slight fever. What should we do for her now, and are there any signs of an emergency we should watch for?
