My puppy, Sage, has a discharge coming from her rectum that smells bad and is clear brownish in color. She also has irritation causing her to circle and bite at her leg, and she's sitting oddly. She was recently prescribed Gabapentin for this issue. What could be causing this and what should I do?

My 11-year-old Shih Tzu, Daisy, has been scratching and biting a lot, causing her skin to become red. She has been on Apoquel and Science Diet Z/D for years, and recently I've been giving her Benadryl, but it's not helping. She has a history of allergies and has been treated with Cefpodoxime and Temaril-P in the past, which worked. She is also on a grain-free diet, has an enlarged heart, and a heart murmur. What else can I try to alleviate her itching and skin issues?
