My dog, Shilo, a 5-month-old weighing less than 7 pounds, ate almost an entire raw potato 30 minutes ago. He has vomited since then and is drinking a lot of water. Is there any risk, and should I be concerned?

My 3.5-month-old Corgi, Rocket, is lethargic, salivating excessively, shivering, and has had blackish diarrhea. He was active and chasing my toddler an hour before this started. He ate 1/4 cup of his puppy food this morning and was chewing on sticks, an acorn, and possibly other things outside. He hasn't vomited. What could be wrong and what should I do?
