My small dog, Timmy, who is about 7 years old and weighs 9 pounds, had surgery this morning to repair a perforated intestine and torn pelvic muscle. He is not eating and is lethargic. Can he skip tonight's antibiotics since they need to be taken with food?

I have a 9-year-old Manchester terrier with sores along the base of his spine near his tail. There has been no change in diet, no flea medication, and the only treatment used is triple antibiotic cream. The sores seem to heal but then he bites and chews at them until they bleed. What could be causing this and how can it be treated?
