My 12-year-old dog has been panting excessively for a couple of months. It began when she was treated with prednisone and an antibiotic for an ear infection. Could there be any connection?

My dog ingested a decent amount of Dawn dishwashing detergent with bleach alternative. He won't eat, his nose is warm and dry, and he's been lying around for hours. He wags his tail and still comes when called. Is this something that will clear out on its own or should I take him to an emergency vet?
