My yellow lab, Charlie, who weighs 118 pounds and is almost 7 years old, ate a large chocolate pastry wrapper a week ago and just vomited it up today. He is lethargic, continues to vomit, and has diarrhea. He is also on prednisone for infected ears and is extremely thirsty. What could be causing his symptoms and what should I do?

She has an appetite and is drinking water. She might have eaten a mouse or mole, but there are no signs of it in the vomit. She recently had her knees operated on and takes carprofen and gabapentin at night for pain. What could be causing this and what should I do?
