Our 12-year-old male schnauzer, Josh, has 30% of his hearing left. Can a dog whistle be used to get his attention as he tends to hide under the bed and we need to get him out? Josh is in good health, though his heart rate is at 4 on a 1 (best) to 6 (worse) scale.

My husband picked up a 7-week-old puppy named Bella this morning. She was fine all day but started vomiting about an hour ago.
