Our 13-year-old wiener dog, Lucy, is hacking and has been doing so for a few days, getting worse. She has also been hacking up fluid. Her breathing seems faster than normal. She has had similar bouts before, and her half-sister had similar issues leading to heart failure, which was managed with antibiotics and steroids. What could be causing Lucy's hacking, and how can we help her feel more comfortable?

My puppy ate a grape, and poison control said he's at low risk for kidney failure. Should I still take him to the hospital?

My 70lb dog, Marz, who is almost 5 years old, ate half a piece of grape about 30 minutes ago. He hasn't vomited since. Should I be concerned, and what should I monitor for?

I have a Great Dane named Macy, who is nearly 10 years old. She is not acting normal today; she is sleeping a lot, had trouble getting up this morning, and is shivering while laying down. She went to the bathroom and is drinking water. She was recently treated for a UTI with amoxicillin, which she finished about a week ago. What could be causing her symptoms, and what should I do?

My dog, Ranger, a 4-year-old Golden Retriever, has a swollen dewclaw digit that doesn't seem to be causing him pain, but it has been like this for a month. There is some redness around the base of the nail, and he has been on antibiotics for a week with an extension for another week and added carpofren for inflammation. What could be causing this swelling, and is it serious?
