My dog, Darby, has a gum infection that has been going on for a few months. I don't have the money to take her to the vet. What can I do to help her, and what would happen if I can't take her to the vet?

Dr. Jan, Daisy pulled out one of her staples. My vet is closed until Monday. I put an old cone on her. Should I worry about it? I don't know how an emergency vet would put a new staple in with her awake. She is not a friendly dog. What should I do? Here is a picture. Thank you, Stacey.

My dog, Snoop, a two-year-old Maltese mix, has been dry heaving several times a day and sneezing a lot. He also started licking his front paw and scratching a few days ago. He has been eating and drinking normally, but I haven't taken his temperature. I adopted him on March 6th, and this has been a regular occurrence. He has a vet appointment on Friday, but I want to make sure I don't need to get him seen sooner.
