Our dog, a cockapoo named Rosie, appears to have gastritis and is very lethargic, reluctant to drink and eat. She has been prescribed antacids, probiotics, and antibiotics since Tuesday, but progress is slow. She had four small pinprick size fresh blood episodes last night. She goes to her food and water bowl but turns away. We are currently feeding and hydrating her with a syringe. She has never been like this before, and it is also exceptionally hot. The antibiotics are on day three. She may have ingested sand or seawater at the beach on Monday. All vaccinations, wormer, and spot-on treatments are up to date, and there is no abdominal discomfort.

My dog, a 15 lb Boston terrier named Lucy, accidentally received a full 15 mg dose of Mirtazapine instead of half a tablet. She has vomited three times in the last three hours and is on several medications including Denamarin, Potassitabs, Azodyl, and renal support. I'm concerned about potential serotonin syndrome and want to know if I can give her my child's Zofran to stop the vomiting, and if I should suspend her other medications. Additionally, I need guidance on whether she needs to go to an emergency vet clinic.

My 12.5-year-old golden retriever/lab mix has vomited twice in the last 1.5-2 hours. The vomit is yellow, slimy, and contains some undigested dog food. She has chronic pain in her hips and back, and recently had an episode of paralysis. She was tested positive for Lyme disease exposure and is currently on Doxycycline, prednisone, and Pepcid. She has been steadily improving but now has a puffing cough and continues to vomit. What can I do to help stop the vomiting?

My dog, Duke, a 7-year-old, suddenly became lifeless and weak last Friday. We took him to the vet, who ran tests but couldn't find anything wrong. He doesn't show obvious pain but seems sad and has no strength. What could be causing this and what should we do next?

I have a pit bulldog named Dodge, who is around 10 years old. He was shot when he was about 4, and the bullet went through his neck and shoulder, resulting in the removal of 10 lbs of flesh. He recovered but has a limp in his front shoulder. Two years later, he ran into a trailer and hit his bad shoulder, causing it to stick up slightly. Recently, he has been acting strangely: he didn't poop for 3 days, is a bit stiff in his back legs, and keeps stretching as if his stomach hurts, though it doesn't seem to bother him when touched. He looks a little swollen across his back, and sometimes his stomach feels tight. He drinks plenty of water, eats fine, and there is no wound on his foot. Could this be stomach problems, arthritis, or something else?
