I have questions about the safety of Betagen beyond 7 days, the need for topical ointments after the initial healing phase, the duration of Cephalexin treatment, and the effectiveness of laser therapy for hot spots.

My dog has been very low energy for the last few days. He hasn't been going to the bathroom regularly (small amounts) and this morning he didn't eat his food, which has never happened before. My 2 1/2 year old, 5 lb chihuahua, who is normally very active, has not been wanting to get up even to eat or go to the bathroom. She hides from me under the bed if she gets a chance. About a week ago, she went to jump up on the recliner with me and let out a loud 'yelp.' After that, she would sometimes whine when trying to jump or stand on her back legs. I took her to my vet who couldn't find a reason for her condition. He gave me pain meds which made her very drowsy. This all is so unlike my baby and I am really worried. What could be causing this and what should I do?

My 12 lb Pekingese ate a piece of dog food that had been sprayed with ant killer containing prallethrin and lambda cyhalothrin. She is acting fine. What should I do, and can I let her drink water? The label on the can says not to if ingested.
