Rusty, a 12-year-old Chou, Corgi, Pomeranian mix, has been showing symptoms of diarrhea, loss of appetite, and unsteadiness. He has a mass on his liver and elevated kidney values. The vet suggested against a liver biopsy due to his age. My questions are: 1) Should we avoid the liver biopsy? 2) Could Adequan shots be causing kidney impairment? 3) Is there an alternative to Azodyl that is easier to administer? 4) What should we do as Rusty seems to be deteriorating?
