We have a 12-year-old husky/shepherd mix dog. She seems to be in great health, not overweight, and very active, but in the last two months, we have noticed she occasionally shivers with her whole body, including her head, very quickly. The shivers last only about one second and happen at least 3 times a day, but they do not seem to bother her. We are wondering if this could be a type of seizure or if it is normal for older dogs. Should we be concerned, and what should we do next?

My female Rottweiler has spots of blood in her urine and has had diarrhea. She is 9 years old, spayed, not lethargic, and has no vaginal discharge or vomiting. She is urinating frequently and seems to be in discomfort. Should I take her to the emergency vet or wait until tomorrow?

My 5-year-old husky lab mix is crying when moving, panting, and favoring one side by laying on it. We gave him some aspirin, and he seems to be getting better a little. Is this an emergency, and what should we do until our vet opens?

My chihuahua was diagnosed with ITP and has been on prednisone and Atopica. Her platelets are now well above normal, and we are tapering off the prednisone. However, she has had two pancreatitis episodes in the last two weeks due to the prednisone, and now she has a bleeding ulcer. How quickly can prednisone be tapered/reduced safely to get her off it as soon as possible?

Zoe, an 8-month-old dog, has several issues: she doesn't hold her pee, has diarrhea for 3 days after eating cooked pork bones, is skinny despite a healthy diet, and jumps on doors when separated from her owner. What could be causing these issues and how can they be addressed?
