I have an outdoor cat, a dog on heartworm medicine, and a recently adopted puppy from a shelter who was throwing up roundworms after deworming. I also have a four-year-old child. Additionally, my dog is vomiting and acting lethargic; could this be related to the roundworm infection, or is it likely unrelated?

My 3-year-old dog has had a swollen tendon in his hind left leg for the last month. He is taking anti-inflammatory medication from the vet, weighs 30 lbs, and occasionally limps. The swelling has decreased somewhat, and he hasn't been getting any exercise due to not going out for walks. An X-ray showed some inflammation but no other issues. Can he go for short walks, and should surgery be considered? What is the worst that could happen?
