I am disappointed in the surgical treatment of my dog's cherry eye. The surgery cost over $600, and the cherry eye recurred within 2 weeks despite wearing a shield and using prescribed drops. The vet acknowledged the recurrence but offered no guarantees for a second surgery. I am questioning the acceptable standards in veterinary medicine for such outcomes.

My dog has been throwing up for 2 days, has only gone to the bathroom once with difficulty, and is now coughing. I don't believe he came in contact with anything in the home, but I do know our lawn is sprayed with pesticides this time of year. If not better by tomorrow, should he be checked out or should I try the bland diet with him?
