We've noticed a lump under the skin just under our Great Dane's left ear. The lump is about an inch in diameter, solid but movable, and the dog frequently shakes his head. The dog's ears also seem to get dirty frequently, despite regular cleaning. What could this lump be, and what should we do?

I have a 6-year-old Maltese Terrier mix named Sophia who is experiencing a loss of appetite, lethargy, occasional vomiting, and hasn't pooped in two days. She has been drinking water but today is the third day she has displayed these signs. Her mouth seems drier than usual, and she appears exhausted.
