She had a good morning walk but has been in the quiet house except for one relief outing. What could be causing this and what should I do?

My female Rat Terrier is showing signs of a UTI, such as constant licking, dark and foul-smelling urine, and watery blood stains on her blanket. I cannot afford a vet visit and have leftover Metronidazole 500 mg. Can I safely give this to her, and does it sound like a UTI to you?
