A family member is 5 months post-surgery from a posterior fusion from C3-T1 and anterior fusion from C4-T1 with hardware. They are still experiencing significant pain. A recent myelogram report indicates unconvertable joint hypertrophy, significant right foraminal narrowing at C3-C4, facet arthropathy at C4-C5, and significant left neural foraminal stenosis. Additionally, there is a posterior disc bulge at C5-C6 that effaces the left ventral thecal sac. Was there not enough decompression performed? What would cause these findings? What are the next steps after receiving a report like this?
