My nails on both thumbs, index fingers, and one little finger are yellow and pulling away from the nail beds, chipping in layers. My big toes and several others have black spots and a coarse appearance. I've taken Lamisil in the past, which helped, but it's no longer effective. I'm a 61-year-old female with slightly high cholesterol and a vitamin D deficiency. Could there be an underlying illness or health issue causing this?

I recently had a blood test showing high calcium levels. I have a thyroid problem for which I take 0.1mg thyroxine 6 days a week, and I also have a cardiac condition. I take aspirin, Losec, candesartan, and verapamil for blood pressure. I also take cod liver oil which contains D & A vitamins. What could be causing the high calcium levels and how can I treat this issue?

Me he sentido muy ansiosa y algunas veces con el corazón acelerado y falta de aire. Ando ansiosa y me ahogo a ratos. Tengo 28 años y este mes he tomado Plan B para no tener hijos, la he tomado 4 veces en el mismo mes. Estoy casada y estoy saliendo con alguien que me gusta mucho pero él no sabe que soy casada y me ha propuesto matrimonio, lo que me tiene ansiosa porque no sé qué hacer. Mi esposo actual es un hombre mayor y borracho pero cuida por mí económicamente, y con el que conocí es un muchacho joven, aventurero pero sin dinero, pero me ha propuesto mudarme con él e intentarlo y me siento en una incrusijada. Esto me tiene alterado los nervios y la ansiedad y mi salud mental. ¿Qué cree que debería hacer?
