A neighbor carried a sick raccoon from his yard to the front for removal by Animal Control. He used gloves and a blanket, and no direct contact was made with the raccoon. Afterward, he disposed of his gloves and washed his hands. Later, I spoke to his son about this for 5-10 minutes without masks and at a distance of 2-3 feet. The son and I are both fine, but I am worried about the risk of COVID-19 transmission due to the brief, close contact. Should I be concerned, and if the risk is low, can I visit family, friends, and my counselor without worry?
