I had blood drawn yesterday morning. It was painful, like the needle was pushing on the bottom of my vein. This morning, there's an elongated knot, and it's tender. Am I in danger of a blood clot?

I have some pain medication from a German hospital from a couple of years ago. I forgot what the labels meant. I think it is like morphine or some kind of pain killer, but I'm not sure. I had a hip replacement and am really suffering pretty badly. I don't have my pain doctor appointment until tomorrow. The German name is Novaminsulfon-ratiopharm. Can you help?
