I went swimming in very salty water yesterday and it got into my eye. During the night, I felt like there was a foreign body in my eye. Today, it feels very sore, sensitive to light, and still feels like something is in it. I have put eye drops in, but it still feels irritated. My cheek below the eye is also slightly swollen. I am experiencing soft stool and frequent bowel movements, especially after eating, and some bloating. The symptoms worsen when I chew tobacco or drink coffee. I was prescribed Flagyl, and while I felt better after a few days, the symptoms returned when I stopped taking the medication. Is this common?
