I am a boxer who trains every day, running 3-7 miles and doing a lot of punching. I have been drinking coffee for a long time, initially 1 cup with about 100-150 mg of caffeine, but switched to Starbucks 4 months ago, which has 300-400 mg per cup. Since then, I developed tendonitis in my knee and Achilles, and my joints started cracking. I have since switched back to the lower caffeine brand, but the issues persist. Could caffeine be related to these problems?
